Kitty's (age 71) Ice Climbing Adventure

Kitty’s Birthday Adventure:

I recommend Indoor Rock Climbing over outdoor climbing for many reasons. A controlled environment indoors with no falling rocks and no freeze/thaw cycles to loosen those rocks is one reason. Plus, Climb Iowa's friendly and climate-controlled indoor gym helps me get through the cold Midwestern winters and stay healthy.

For those who are interested in climbing on ice, the following site has information on what and how to pack your gear and other stuff for an ice climbing adventure: https://mightygoods.com/ice-climbers.

Some Iowa Boomer climbers are more adventurous than I am - like Kitty. She plans a new adventure on her birthday each year, and this year the adventure was ice climbing. This gallery of photos documents her 2016 birthday adventure.
